We would love to know how you both met:
We met on the 1st of January 2010 after the new year through a common friend to our parents.
Let us have a sneak peak of your proposal:
Since I was little, I have been spending my holidays in Porspoder, where my grandparents live, so I spent hours climbing the rocks at Gard Sign Point. This place is for me the most beautiful in the world, that’s why I quickly discovered it to Erwann and it is therefore naturally there, that he made me his request facing the sunset on August 4, 2017. It is also here that we made our couple photos on the wedding day.
What was the date of your Big Day, your beautiful wedding:
July 14, 2018
Where was the location of the wedding:
We got married at the Quentel Farm in Gouesnou, Brittany, France
Tell us about the planning of your wedding day, and were there any unexpected surprises:
We chose to hold a secular ceremony because we wanted something intimate to involve our families and friends. The ceremony was held in the same place as the reception and dinner because we wanted to avoid the guests having to move too much knowing that many of them came from far away. At the end of the reception, we were surprised to discover that our friends had prepared a giant Breton dance with all the guests. It was a memorable moment, we laughed a lot and it was moving to see all our guests dancing together to please us.
What colour themes were used in the wedding:
I love pastel shades because I find it very soft that’s why we chose this type of colours including pink, coral, yellow, blue …
Was there any tradition introduced into your wedding, “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue:
No because it is not widespread in France
What was the theme of your wedding, and how did you decide this:
We chose a country theme because we want something simple, with a lot of flowers and that fits with the style of our room, a beautiful Breton stone building.
Your wedding was very beautiful, where did you gather inspiration from:
I found my inspirations on Pinterest but also by following instagram accounts of future brides and on wedding blogs.
What were some of your favourite moments in the wedding with either your partner, family or friends:
Our favorite moment will be that of discovery, it was such a moving moment, we were in a dream setting facing the sea with eyes in the eyes … a moment suspended in time. Our favorite time with our families and friends is the moment when they made us the surprise of dancing together around us, it was funny because some guests lacked coordination but it was great to see them all together to make us laugh and enjoy this beautiful day with us.
Who were your favourite vendors for the wedding:
Impossible to choose! The florist, the caterer, the photographer, the hairdresser and the makeup artist were all perfect.
Who was the photographer for your wedding:
It was Gaelle Le Berre, do not hesitate to call on her, she is so kind and dynamic, she listened to us all the time and she was able to put us at ease on the photos thanks to her humour. Without her, this day would not have been the same!
We would love to know what soundtrack was played for your first dance:
For our first dance, it was my dad who played us on the bagpipe, a Scottish waltz he composed for us especially for the occasion.
Did you go away for a Honeymoon, if so where was the location:
We went on a road trip to Canada, we visited part of Ontario and Quebec, it was beautiful!
What words of support could you say to couples taking the journey of marriage:
Do not let anyone dictate your choices during the preparations because it is YOUR wedding and this day must be in your image, it must match you. It was not always easy to make our wishes heard by everyone during the preparations but we did not regret having stuck to make this day look like us because we had only compliments. D-day, let go, everything will not be perfect and it does not matter thoroughly because you will probably not notice these little details that are wrong. Most of the hiccups of our day will remain very good memories finally so breathe and enjoy because it goes very very fast.
